The windshield wiper system is made to keep the windshield clear in rain, snow, or when dirt and debris prevent your view. At the time the windshield wiper switch is turned on, power goes to the windshield wiper motor and transmission. Linkage attaches the windshield wiper transmission to the wiper arms. The windshield wiper transmission makes the windshield wiper arms to move in a side-to-side motion against the windshield or back window to keep it clear and clean. At the time the windshield wipers are not touching the window, the wipers chatter continuously against the window when they are turned on, or the windshield wiper moves but the one or both of the wiper arms stay put, it may be time to change your windshield wiper arms.
Facts to Note:
Install new wiper blades any time a windshield wiper arm is changed.
